Music videos are artistic extensions of the songs themselves, with many visual accompaniments becoming just as, if not more iconic than the song it was created for. As usual, some of our favourite songs of the week also had some of our favourite videos, with this week's list including new singles & videos from Body Type, Durand Jones, Geese, Georgia Mooney, KUČKA, Panda Bear & Sonic Boom, Salami Rose Joe Louis, The Murlocs and Westerman.

Body Type - Holding On

Eora/Sydney four-piece deliver a fun, suburban-shot, Kylie Minogue-inspired video alongside their latest single of soaring indie-alt-rock. New album Expired Candy out June 2 via Poison City Records.

Durand Jones - That Feeling

Jones announces his solo album with a powerful, rocking cut of gospel and r&b sounds alongside a gorgeous, cinematic video shot in the wetlands of Louisiana. New album Wait Til I Get Over is out May 5 via Dead Oceans.

Geese - 3D Country

Following-up their wild video for previous single Cowboy Nudes, lauded Brooklyn 5-piece take us to the country - aurally and visually on their new seven minute epic. New album 3D Country out June 23 via Play It Again Sam / Partisan.

Georgia Mooney - I Am Not In A Hurry

Ahead of her to-be-announced album, All Our Exes Live In Texas member's new single of slow-burning, majestic folk features a video compiled of footage from Mooney's many travels & adventures.

KUČKA - Cry Cry Cry

Ahead of her return home for a tour of Australia, KUČKA delivers an irresistible new single of bouncing electro-pop alongside a weird and wacky music video set in a David Lynch-esque karaoke club.

Panda Bear & Sonic Boom - In My Body

From their acclaimed 2022 LP Reset, alternative super-duo's new video is an animated, infinitely regressing, psychedelic delight, reminiscent of a more mellow take on Boredoms' iconic 1999 video. Album Reset out now via Domino Recording Co.

Salami Rose Joe Louis - Akousmatikous (feat. Soccer96)

Enigmatic & wonderous multi-genre Californian artist invites us into her marvellous, uncanny world on tempo changing jazzy new single, with a distinctly, trippy animated video that details a full narrative across the track's ecstatic six minute run time. New album Akousmatikous out May 19 via Brainfeeder.

The Murlocs - Initiative

Injecting a healthy dose of country into jangly garage rock, The Murlocs latest video sees frontman Ambrose Kenny-Smith grapple with the corporate switch from the country life to the rat race. New album Calm Ya Farm out May 19 via Uncle Murl / Virgin Music Australia.

Westerman - Take

Surreal, 70s/80s video collage vibes work perfectly as the visual accompaniment for the London-based artist's introspective latest single. New album An Inbuilt Farm out May 5 via Play It Again Sam / Partisan.

Enjoy all these tunes as well as our favourite singles of the week and a stack of other new music we've been feeling in our Office playlist.
