Watch: Julia Holter - Feel You

This one goes out to the dog lovers.

Julia Holter’s previous album Loud City Song pushed her into the wider consciousness, and now her latest single Feel You from her upcoming album Have You In My Wilderness looks to continue her rise. Albeit where Loud City Song is characterised as art-pop because of its use of rich soundscapes created from traditional instruments, Feel You is less self-indulgent. Instead Holter has created a continual sense of flow in Feel You with the dulcet tones of a violin, delicate vocals and soft but low bass to contrast the high-pitched sounds. And the end product is a deeply refreshing track hinting at the elegance of Bon Iver.
